Flood/ Hydraulic Modeller

We are looking for a client-focused professional to join our busy multi-disciplinary water consulting team at a Senior level. With a strong portfolio of work including many high profile infrastructure projects both nationally and internationally, our team is expanding and we are looking to recruit a range of new team members.
Our projects require a mix of engineering, economic, scientific, modelling, statistical and written and oral communication skills. With a background in hydraulic modelling, hydrology or water resource management, you will primarily be working on a range of flood risk projects that make a difference to local communities and the environment, serving a range of public and private sector clients including regulators, local authorities, water utility and strategic construction companies.
You will be joining the No.1 deliverer of flood risk management services in the UK, working as part of an integrated, forward thinking and highly skilled team with the opportunity to learn from and assist key industry experts.

Your role will entail, but not limited to:
Technical leadership of hydraulic modelling, hydrology and/or planning projects, from inception to handover, working with the project manager to ensure they are delivered on budget and to deadlines.
Nurture, stretch and develop the technical skills of more junior level colleagues.
Identify and deliver technical innovation in order to improve efficiency of delivery, ensure effective dissemination of latest methodologies and tools.
Take a leadership role in ensuring flood management project deliverables meet clientsí needs.
Take a proactive approach to managing the client relationship, clarifying expectations/success criteria in order to promote their satisfaction.
Support delivery teams to communicate project outputs to internal and external clients through verbal and written communications.
Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of project work to meet the highest standards
Compliance with CH2Mís HS&E, quality, financial, risk management, business and policy requirements
The candidates will report to their local Team Leader but form strong collaborative relationship with co-located and remote skills areas.
