AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern in the Florence, SC office. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive. All technical interns at AECOM will be eligible to participate in AECOMís intern development program. The program develops talented students through a combination of work experience, training, networking and exposure to AECOM subject matter experts. The goal of the program is to introduce AECOM and assist with building business and technical competency. Interns whose overall performance achieves AECOMís expectations, ideally, receive a recommendation for a full-time position after graduation.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed:
Gathers data to be used in the preparation of scientific or engineering reports
Prepares or assists in the preparation of scientific, engineering or survey documents
Participates in environmental, health and safety performance improvement efforts
Documents all relevant project activities
Uses limited exercise of judgment
Works under close supervision with direction given on all assignments
Prepares daily report on the status of the work, including confirmation of work accomplished, available resources and jobsite conditions
Prepares and updates various documents and spreadsheets for inspection reports
Currently in pursuit of Bachelorís degree in Engineering or other related field required
Rudimentary understanding of various construction tasks
Ability to work with representatives from public and private entities and handle potentially sensitive situations.
Ability to provide clear direction
Exhibit effective teamwork skills and be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams
Valid Driverís License and acceptable driving record
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models or other drainage and water modeling software)
