Summary
Huitt-Zollars, Inc. (formerly Hoskin Ryan Consultants) has a full-time Water Resources Engineer EIT opportunity. This role works collaboratively with other civil engineers under the direction of the project manager in a team environment providing engineering design for a variety of hydrology projects. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Hydrologist with 3 to 5 years’ experience seeking professional growth and career advancement within an award winning design firm.

Requirements:
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for streams, rivers, drainage systems and other storm water conveyance features.
• Prepare reports, studies and designs related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
• Prepare civil design plans, specifications, and construction documents for multiple water resource projects.
• Research jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
• Perform drainage analysis and design, water quality and quantity design.
• Prepare construction documents for a wide range of public and private water resource projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT Arizona state license and registration
• Minimum 3 years of hydrology experience and producing complete construction plans and reports
• Knowledge of local, county and state agency submittal process
• Proficient in storm water software: HEC-1, HEC-RAS, Storm CAD, ArcGIS, AutoCAD
• Flo-2D and Civil 3D design software is a plus
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of survey principles is a plus
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work over 40 hours if necessary
• Ability to apply company CAD standards
• Ability to work independently and/or with team environment
