Responsibilities:
• Perform natural resource surveys including, but not limited to, wetland delineations and functional assessments, wildlife habitat evaluations and rare species surveys;
• Assist in preparation of studies and technical reports;
• Assist project and/or task managers with development of federal, state and local permit applications; and
• Construction oversight and permit compliance monitoring.

Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills is a must;
• Candidates would be expected to maintain a working understanding of all team projects and would be responsible for managing time to successfully complete tasks;
• Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently;
• Detail-oriented; and
• The ability to thoughtfully organize notes, documents, electronic and physical files in ways that are useful to all involved parties.

Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Soil Science or a related field (Master’s Preferred);
• 0-3 years of experience;
• Computer skills including experience with MS Office Word/Excel; at least some familiarity with ESRI-GIS;
• The individual should be comfortable working in physically challenging outdoor situations in all types of weather and traveling on a regular basis to project sites located throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and the United States;
• Natural resource evaluation: Experience in identifying Mid-Atlantic floral and faunal species and soils are required; at least some ability to identify wildlife, habitats, and ecological communities is also required;
• Wetland Regulation: A working knowledge of the state and federal wetland regulations is preferred throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
