Summary

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides entry level engineering work under close supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer.
• Applies prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Apply standard practices and techniques in solving problems using hydrologic and hydraulic software modeling for evaluating drainage issues.
• Communicates with supervisors so understanding of instructions are clear and concise.
• Contribute data/findings for use in technical reports, designs, documents, or oral/written presentations.
• Interact in a collaborative manner with other team members, staff, and clients to accomplish organizational goals and contribute to the success of projects; may provide ideas to improve efficiency at group level; network primarily with, but not limited to, own technical peer group.
Education, certification and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience supporting projects in storm water drainage, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and other engineering tasks preferred
• Required Certifications, Registrations or Licensure: Engineer-In-Training preferred; Valid TX Driver’s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle may be required
