We are now inviting applications to this position to complement our existing strengths in teaching, research and employability. You will be expected to establish an independent research group in environmental sciences relevant to human health. Our current health-focused environmental science research is centered on human interactions with the living components of the planet, specifically exploring human and environmental risks from combined chemical exposures. The research profile of our team also includes aquatic ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, environmental risk communication, waste management and water quality.
We are specifically looking for an individual whose research focuses on the toxicological aspects of environmental change, with an emphasis on predictive toxicology relevant to human health.
You will combine an aspiration to establish yourself as an independent group leader with enthusiastic, student-centered and research-led teaching informed by your passion for understanding the impact of environmental change on human toxicology. You will contribute to the teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, particularly focusing on second and third year undergraduates.
The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, supported by substantial experience at postdoctoral or equivalent industrial level, and a proven research track-record demonstrated through high calibre outputs which contribute to the upcoming UK Research Excellence Framework (REF) submission.
