Summary
GSI has an immediate opening in its Orange County, California office for an entry-level hydrogeologist or geologist to support our environmental and water resources management practices. The selected individual will have excellent growth opportunities and be a part of our expanding operation in California.

Duties include:
Preparing technical documents, plans, permit applications, and reports for a variety of field programs.
Performing assigned field work and data collection activities.
Performing subsurface field exploration tasks including drilling and test pit explorations.
Coordinating with subcontractors for project-required services, including drilling, surveying, and laboratory analyses.
Providing technical support for hydrogeologic and remedial investigations, hydrogeologic testing, groundwater monitoring programs, and surface water monitoring programs.
Required Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology or hydrology.
Master’s degree preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite and other related programs and software).
Critical thinking, time management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus but not required for applying.
Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
Willingness to travel for remote assignments.
