Summary

The successful applicant will be joining Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading research led universities, as a Research Associate on the METAL-SoLVER mine water treatment project. The successful candidate will take a key role within the METAL-SoLVER team, undertaking geochemical monitoring of pilot mine water treatment systems and mine water treatment research in the laboratory and at several locations across England and Wales. The post will involve extensive fieldwork which will involve driving to field locations in England and Wales to undertake water sampling. Thus, the post requires a willingness to undertake both laboratory and lone field work, and the flexibility to undertake long working days where necessary to deliver project objectives, and a full clean driving license.
